The Clarence Valley is home to a diverse tapestry of women who drive the local economy, anchor community organisations, and mentor the next generation. The WOTCAS were established to provide a formal platform to celebrate these often-unsung heroes. By spotlighting their achievements, The Crown Hotel aims to foster a culture of appreciation and inspiration, ensuring that the contributions of women, from the coast to the hinterland, are etched into the region’s history.

“This isn’t just about an award; it’s about visibility,” says the event Sylvia Duggan. “We want to highlight the incredible impact women have on our social and economic fabric, encouraging a stronger, more connected community for everyone.”

AWARD CATEGORIES

A panel of independent experts will select winners across five judged categories, with a sixth category decided by the public:

• Business Woman of the Year: Recognizing excellence in entrepreneurship and leadership.
• Rising Star (Ages 13–30): Celebrating the bright future of our young female leaders.
• Impact Award: Honoring those dedicated to community focus and extensive volunteer work.
• Icon of the Year: A “Hall of Fame” style tribute to the experienced women of our community.
• Woman of the Year: The premier accolade for an individual showing outstanding overall contribution and our major award.
• People’s Choice Award: A special category decided entirely by public vote.

The winners will be revealed during a Special Long Lunch Presentation at The Crown Hotel on Friday, March 6, 2026. The afternoon will feature special guest speakers, live entertainment, and a curated menu, serving as a massive celebration of the incredible women of the Clarence Valley.
